Membership Information
The Wiarton & District Curling Club runs three 6- or 7-week schedules of league curling per season, tentatively as follows:
Schedule 1: Begins week of Nov 4, 2009
Schedule 2: Begins week of Jan 4, 2010
Schedule 3: Begins week of Feb 15, 2010
Upon registration, members may choose from the following leagues:

Intended for new curlers to try the sport and learn the fundamentals. This year we are offering the program on three consecutive days before league curling starts. One or two sheets will also be available to any member who wishes to practice throwing rocks. |
Note: As a member, you will be assigned to a specific team for each league you enter. Your team will curl together until the end of the schedule, after which new teams will be formed. So if you curled Tuesday mornings and Friday nights in all three schedules, you would curl with six different teams throughout the season. The exception to this rule is the Skip's Choice league, in which members enter as pre-arranged teams, which stay together for as long as desired.

5% GST is included in all fees listed above.
Work Cheques
A separate $100 work cheque postdated to February 1, 2010 must be included with your registration (one cheque per person, please). This cheque will not be cashed and will be destroyed if you fulfill your work duties before the end of the season. For more information on work duties, please see the work cheque page.
Deadline to register is October 17, 2009, after which a $20 late fee will apply. You may still register after this date, however we will not be able to guarantee placement on a team for the first schedule. If there is no space on a team, you will be eligible to curl as a spare.
